How to Know Jesus

Most people are familiar with Jesus Christ in some way, maybe as a historical figure, a role really? When Jesus was on earth He made it a point to be relevant and connect with people where they were. The biggest complaint made against him was that He was not religious enough. Most of His closest friends were fishermen (not the most prominent of people); He loved spending time with children (not much glory in the admiration of a child) and was often found hanging out in the homes of the publicly despised (prostitutes and tax collectors were not too popular back in those days either). Jesus loved people no matter what their status or what they offered Him in return.

The Bible says that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. So he still loves people who are full of problems and sins. He wants to be our best friend, he said "Behold I stand at the door (of your heart) and knock, he who invites me in, I will come in and have fellowship with him". He also said, "I am the resurrection and the life, whoever believes in me will never die." And he said, "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believes in Him will never perish but will have everlasting life." Here are the four simple teachings of Jesus Christ.

We have all sinned and separated ourselves from God as a result God did something about it when he sent his only Son Jesus into the world to live a perfect life and to pay the penalty for our sin on a cross, which is the penalty of death. Those who want to be forgiven for their sins and live forever with God in heaven must believe that what Jesus did was good enough to pay their penalty.

Simply ask Jesus to forgive your sins, and to be the Lord of your life. He will guide you and help you to become the person He created you to be.
